TDC'S THIRD MENTION IN 'PRIVATE EYE' IN 12 MONTHS?

The 'Ezekiel' Party in Thanet continues to attract scorn from Private Eye, let alone from the proper Conservatives at KCC!
.
Click on the item if you have trouble reading it. This is the third time that 'Rotten Boroughs' has given some space to TDC in the past 12 months. Perhaps it's time for 'Eye' to run a regular feature on Thanet District Council under The 'Ezekiel' Party.
.
Rumours reaching my ears are that Bertie may have to find another name for Thanet Conservatives soon. Can anyone confirm that 'Our Leader' intends to leg it towards the sun in the Med in the Spring 2010 as our House Martins, Swifts and Swallows head back to us?

I hear that certain planning permissions given by spouses to caravan parks will soon warrant another appearance in rotten boroughs?

may not want to face a further contest or possible humilation as May looms Bertie, best news in a long time if true, might give likes of Wells, Jarvis etc chance for another try!

Bertie,
i see in IOTG that success is imminent for the Dumpton Park residents with their village green status. Hope it makes the residents of Palm Bay feel there is some hope - that is a battle you and other bloggers championed and the outcome seems to be successful!

That might well be the case, 21.39 but of course we must remember that it seemed to be a collective 'Ezekiel' Party members decision without predetermination, influence and with no minds being made up that night until having reviewed the evidence and arguments put.
We must of course ignore that no argument in support was put by applicant or ward cllrs and that TDC Officers urged rejection, but hey-ho, that's democracy in Thanet working.

You could be right 22;02.It would be nice to see a Conservative led TDC again.

22:08; Delighted to help a wonderful bunch of people. However, they still have a battle to fight because my TDC mole tells me that the China holiday maker is still delaying the sale of TDCs scrubland for back-gardens despite the mandate given by Cabinet to get on with it. Hope the Village Green status is achieved.

I thought that you had withdrawn your Bradgate postings due to threats of legal action.

Looks like it's back in the melting pot again.

Your taking down the comments looked like you were in the wrong and eating the humble stuff. Or were you just making some sort of point, and now back on the scent?

Reference anon. 22.02. The local elections for Thanet aren't until May 2011 so the Ezekiel Party could, in theory, hang on until then. Mind you, if the Mayor is forced to resign and another by-election in the same ward as Braodhurst's previous area of non-representation looms, the Ezekiel Party's majority could slip and slide, depending on that outcome.

If anyone else on their side falls by the wayside for whatever reason or comes to their senses and decides to become an Independent ......

Is there any other council who has had so many articles in Rotten Boroughs - says something for the calibre of local democracy ruling party doesnt it?
Yet still they blunder on. Tarts boudoir carpet in their meeting areas what next?

00:36, it's interesting that GK or was it KG, I cannot remember, did not get back to me.

A precautionary step was decided as certain issues have yet to be examined by those best placed to do so.
