A FLY ON THE WALL?

Thanet is a small village and you might be interested to know where 'Our Leader', Sandy Ezekiel was spotted, last Sunday afternoon (13th April); at a table in that lovely watering hole, The Lanthorne, in Broadstairs.

What might interest you more was the company he was keeping. My source tells me he was seated at a table with Frank Thorley ( one of his pubs), Jimmy Godden ( Waterbridge and Scenic Railway owner?), Mr Hilton snr (Hilton's jewellers) , Mr Hilton(jnr) and local solicitor Mr Waite (Laurie?).

What an interesting group of people enjoying a quiet afternoon together in a local Thanet pub. I personally would have loved to have been a fly on the wall!

Flies are attracted by one thing in particular.

Perhaps Laurie was amusing with his over drinkies tales of the stupidity of a former local police chief ?

The bouncers in the area used to say that if the cop was a stick of rock you would not read "Margate" through his centre but "Thank-Forley Yours for ever"

Would your source know if the local police licensing officer was taking a drink at the same venue or perhaps enjoying some hols with Thank-Forley Tours ?

Power to their lifting elbows though. Who the f-ck else would invest in Thanet ?

I wonder who paid - for the meal and in the longer term?

Probably enjoying a cigar with the rest of them!

You had better get onto Cllr Jo Gideon, 20.27 if you are saying what I think you are saying! She is relentless in her pursuit of even the most minor breaches of 'No Smoking'! Didn't her team of enforcers knock Frank Thorley for £200 for his place in Ramsgate not displaying a sign?
